The universe of a realist painter is perception. This is an instantaneous, dazzling phenomenon that precedes reason. Its origin is the sense of sight, but it involves multiple aspects of the human spirit. Therefore, for me, the contemplation of reality is essential. The imagination is incapable of creating or recreating the play of light on the world around us. This is my source, and my artistic compass is to capture on canvas or paper the feeling and wonder that invade me at the spectacle. The subject matter is secondary. Everything is reduced to the magic of light on a device, a body, or a mountain. In its presence, messages, theories, concepts, or intellectual interpretations are unnecessary and often annoying. I would like my work to be considered an honest attempt to reflect my passion for the beauty that surrounds me.
